Canoe Susquehanna runs guided river trips in easy-to-use Recreational Kayaks,Multi-Person Kayaks, and our famous, 26-foot-long Big Canoes. No experience is necessary for any of our trips! Our expert guides will teach everything required to have a great day on the water.

River trips bring families, friends, and co-workers together for fun-filled days outside. We offer a full Calendar of Trips open to the public, as well as Private Trips, for groups of any size.

Our River Routes are located on the Susquehanna River, south of Williamsport, east of State College, north of Harrisburg, and west of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, right here in Central Pennsylvania.

West Branch Express

See our area from a new perspective while watching for riverside wildlife, improving your paddling skills, learning about local history and enjoying the companionship of other friendly paddlers!  This route is 5 river miles from Watsontown to Milton with a stop at mile 3 for optional purchased food at a riverside restaurant.

2017 West Branch Express Trip Dates:

  • Sunday, June 11     2pm-6pm
  • Sunday, July 2     1pm-5pm
  • Sunday, September 10     1pm-5pm

This is the perfect river route to try a Stand Up Paddle-Board.  When you register for this trip, be sure to tell us that you want to give one a try!

The September 10, 2017, West Branch Express proceeds benefit The Improved Milton Exerience.

We meet at Milton State Park for a pre-paddle shuttle to the put-in.  After an entertaining presentation on paddling, we get on the river.  

Cost: $45/person if you plan to use a Canoe Susquehanna kayak, please review the Boat Choices page to help you decide which model you would prefer to use.

Cost: $35/person if you bring your own equipment. Boats must have current registration or launch stickers.

Milton State Park occupies an island on the West Branch of the Susquehanna near Milton, Pa. From the Route 642 Bridge, exit into the State Park and follow signs for the River Access Area.
