Canoe Susquehanna runs guided river trips in easy-to-use Recreational Kayaks,Multi-Person Kayaks, and our famous, 26-foot-long Big Canoes. No experience is necessary for any of our trips! Our expert guides will teach everything required to have a great day on the water.

River trips bring families, friends, and co-workers together for fun-filled days outside. We offer a full Calendar of Trips open to the public, as well as Private Trips, for groups of any size.

Our River Routes are located on the Susquehanna River, south of Williamsport, east of State College, north of Harrisburg, and west of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, right here in Central Pennsylvania.

North Branch Canal Cruise

Our 'Canal Cruise' is a 10 mile kayak and canoe trip between Bloomsburg and Danville with stops at several fascinating historical canal features. The trip benefits the Montour Area Recreation Commission.

Learn about local history, enjoy the companionship of other friendly paddlers, and improve your canoe or kayak skills on this lovely stretch of river! Our ‘Canal Cruise’ is a 10-river-mile trip between Bloomsburg and Danville with stops at several fascinating, historical canal features. The trip benefits the Montour Area Recreation Commission.

We now meet at Danville Fish & Boat Commission Access. Shuttle to the Bloomsburg put-in leaves promptly at 1pm, so if you have personal boats to transfer to our trailer, or have not completed the paperwork/payment for the trip, please arrive with sufficient time to resolve these details before 1pm.

In Bloomsburg, we’ll unload gear and Canoe Susquehanna Lead Guide, Allan Quant, will deliver his epic, headlining, always sold-out, roll-in-the-isles laughing, critically-acclaimed river safety and paddling instruction presentation! An historic event in and of itself!

Once on the water, keep alert for sightings of bald eagles and herons. There will be opportunities to swim and cool off new friends with our complementary water blasters. Our guides will be pointing out canal remnants as well as old eel weirs in the river bottom.

On a 10-mile trip, you may get hungry! Be sure to bring a bag lunch to eat on our ‘cruise.’

Cost is $55 per person. If you plan to use a Canoe Susquehanna kayak, please review the Boat Choices page to help you decide which model you would prefer to use.

Save $10 for a cost of $45 per person if you Bring Your Own Boat.
