Paddle Buffalo Creek with Canoe Susquehanna staff and members of the Buffalo Creek Watershed Alliance. Buffalo Creek is an outstandingly beautiful paddle in the spring. Narrow, with a canopy of trees, the character of Buffalo Creek contrasts quite a bit with the more wide-open feel of our Susquehanna River paddling trips.
Because of low summer water levels, we aren't able to guide trips on Buffalo Creek later in the season. So, don't miss your chance to experience this unique tributary. Be sure to sign up for one of our Buffalo Creek Trips today!
Water & weather permitting, on April 21 and April 29 we will be paddling the lower section of Buffalo Creek, from Strawbridge Road to St. George St., Lewisburg.
Water, weather, etc., permitting on May 6, we will begin to paddle at Cowan or Mazeppa and take-out at the Dale's Ridge Trail parking area on Strawbridge Road).
Before we launch our canoes & kayaks onto Buffalo Creek each trip, Allan Quant & Jeremy Quant will share information about paddling techniques, safety issues, etc.
PLEASE keep in mind that "early season" always means cold water and may well mean cold air temps. Expect to get your feet and lower legs wet whenever you enter or exit your kayak.
Cost: $40/person if you plan to use a Canoe Susquehanna kayak, please review the Our Canoes and Kayaks page to help you decide which model you would prefer to use.
Cost: $30/person if you bring your own equipment. For the Buffalo Creek routes, boats need not have FBC or DCNR stickers.
Reservations are required. Phone (888-524-7692 or 570-524-7692) or email (Mail@PaddleHappy.com) for details and to book your spot!
