Canoe Susquehanna runs guided river trips in easy-to-use Recreational Kayaks,Multi-Person Kayaks, and our famous, 26-foot-long Big Canoes. No experience is necessary for any of our trips! Our expert guides will teach everything required to have a great day on the water.

River trips bring families, friends, and co-workers together for fun-filled days outside. We offer a full Calendar of Trips open to the public, as well as Private Trips, for groups of any size.

Our River Routes are located on the Susquehanna River, south of Williamsport, east of State College, north of Harrisburg, and west of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, right here in Central Pennsylvania.

Milton Anniversary Paddle

2017 is Milton Borough’s 200th anniversary & Milton State Park’s 50th anniversary.  Help us celebrate both the Borough and the Park by paddling this beautiful section of the West Branch Susquehanna River.

Canoe Susquehanna will be providing Safety, Shuttles, and Kayaks for a special River Paddle from Watsontown to Milton. We hope you will join the wonderful paddlers, both experienced and novice, who make this a great time on the river!

Thanks to a generous donation to the Milton Bicentennial Committee by Robbins Marine of Milton, PA, the pricing for this event for the first 100 registrants:

$25/person, which includes ALL equipment.  

Just $15/person if you bring your own kayak or canoe!  If you bring your own kayak or canoe, you will need to have a current sticker on your boat: FBC launch or FBC registration or DCNR launch.  

Transport for your boat/gear will be provided by Canoe Susquehanna during the pre-paddle bus shuttle from Milton State Park.

Pre-registration is required.  Registration closes June 1, 2017.

Schedule for June 11, 2017  

12:30 - 12:55  Participants check-in at the Canoe Susquehanna shuttle bus parked in the River Access Area of the Milton State Park.

1:00  Greetings from the Milton Bicentennial committee.  Shuttle bus departs Milton State Park

1:15 - 1:30  Shuttle bus arrives at Watsontown FBC Access, participants who brought their own boats/gear: unload and set up.  Participants who are using Canoe Susquehanna boats/gear: receive their boats/gear from Canoe Susquehanna staff. 

1:30 - 2:00  Paddling instruction & safety briefing from Canoe Susquehanna staff.

2:00  Launch & enjoy the river with your paddling companions, both old and new.

3:00  All paddlers pause in the pool between I-80 bridge and Milton Boat Club for an on-water historical presentation, swim, group pics.

4:00  Land at Milton State Park where the Bicentennial Color Run will be concluding with music, food vendors, and more fun.

4:15  Enjoy Friends of Milton State Park's Paul Yost’s excellent presentation and walking tour of the Milton State Park Island, its history and its future.

5:00  Thank you for sharing your afternoon with the river and its friends!

Milton State Park occupies an island on the West Branch of the Susquehanna near Milton, Pa. From the Route 642 Bridge, exit into the State Park and follow signs for the River Access Area.
