Canoe Susquehanna runs guided river trips in easy-to-use Recreational Kayaks,Multi-Person Kayaks, and our famous, 26-foot-long Big Canoes. No experience is necessary for any of our trips! Our expert guides will teach everything required to have a great day on the water.

River trips bring families, friends, and co-workers together for fun-filled days outside. We offer a full Calendar of Trips open to the public, as well as Private Trips, for groups of any size.

Our River Routes are located on the Susquehanna River, south of Williamsport, east of State College, north of Harrisburg, and west of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, right here in Central Pennsylvania.

Lewisburg Appetizer Guided Kayak Trip


See our area from a new perspective while watching for riverside wildlife, improving your paddling skills, learning about local history and enjoying the companionship of other friendly paddlers! This trip is 6 river miles beginning at Milton State Park with a stop at mile 4 for optional purchased food at a riverside restaurant.

This is a great route for an early season private big canoe river tour!  Keep dry & warm while enjoying the river!

We meet at Milton State Park for an entertaining presentation on paddling, after which we begin our paddle. When the trip is over our bus will bring you back to your vehicle.

Our Saturday, May 2 afternoon Lewisburg Appetizer tour benefits the Linn Land & Waterways Conservancy!

Our Friday, July 24 morning Lewisburg Appetizer tour benefits the Eagles Mere Conservancy!

Cost: $45/person if you plan to use a Canoe Susquehanna kayak, please review the Boat Choices page to help you decide which model you would prefer to use.

Cost: $35/person if you bring your own equipment. Boats must have current registration or launch stickers.

Now even cleaner!
Participants willing to get their hands dirty can also get equipped with trash grabbers and bags from the Lewisburg River Town Team and collect floating litter along the way.  It’s a small way to get introduced to “trash paddling” and take part in the Susquehanna River Clean Up Project.  Contact Samantha Pearson (elmstreet@dejazzd.com, 570-523-0114) to arrange to pick up trash while participating in this kayak trip .

Milton State Park occupies an island on the West Branch of the Susquehanna near Milton, Pa. From the Route 642 Bridge, exit into the State Park and follow signs for the River Access Area.
