The
Susquehanna River and Central Pennsylvania
The
Susquehanna is the longest river in the continental United
States without commercial boat traffic. It is a beautiful
and serene river best experienced by canoe or kayak.
Central
Pennsylvania is rich in history and culture. Along the banks
of our section of the Susquehanna lie the boroughs of Watsontown,
Milton, and Lewisburg and the beautiful campus of Bucknell
University.
Our
Boats and Vehicles
Canoe
Susquehanna uses only well maintained equipment. Guests on
our Guided Kayak Trips experience the river in the Wilderness
Systems Pungo, Emotion Kayak Exhilarator, Ocean Kayak Prowler 15 and Ocean Kayak Scupper Pro TW. On Guided Big Canoe
Trips, guests cruise downstream in our 26' Voyageur Canoes,
made by Western Canoeing in British Columbia. Our fleet of
We-no-na 18' fiberglass Sundowner canoes is used for private
trips, multi-day excursions, and technique instruction.
As
part of your river experience with Canoe Susquehanna, you
are returned to your vehicle (land shuttle service) in one of our
24 passenger buses.
