Do you rent boats?

We run guided kayak trips, as such, we do not rent our canoes and kayaks without our guides. Don't despair, though, our guided trips are tons of fun! For an extremely reasonable rate, we provide so much more than an ordinary canoe livery. Our equipment is meticulously well maintained, we provide tons of little extras (bottled water, snacks, water-blasters, photos from your trip, etc.) and our staff of expert guides will be available to assist you as much or as little as you like. We go to great lengths to ensure that all of our guests have a great day on the water.

Do you offer shuttle service?

We provide a "people and boat shuttle" in one of our brightly painted buses at the beginning or end of each guided trip we run. We do not provide shuttle service to folks who aren't part of a guided trip. However, we offer a generous discount for paddlers who sign up for one of our guided trips with their own equipment.

Will I be able to keep up?

Our trips are designed to accommodate a vast range of skills, ages and abilities. Absolutely no experience is required to participate in one of our guided trips. Our guides will teach the most efficient techniques to make paddling our boats as easy as possible. If you do have serious concerns or special needs, please check out our Paddle with a Guide option.

Is my child old enough to come on a trip?

There is no minimum age to participate in a Canoe Susquehanna guided river trip. Our trips allow families with adults and children of all ages to have meaningful experiences together. The only requirement is our weight minimum of 30-pounds, which ensures that we'll be able to properly fit everyone with a life-jacket.

I have physical limitations or medical conditions, will I be able to participate in a trip?

How much do the photos cost?

They're free! You can download high-resolution digital images of the pictures we take of your trip at http://canoesusquehanna.smugmug.com. Feel free to make prints or email them to friends. You can also purchase prints directly from our trip photo website for a small fee.

What is a water blaster?

A water blaster is a small, plastic, hand-held, time machine. It's use instantly transports adults of all ages back to their youth. (Kids usually remain kids, though.)
